Cargill Food Distribution began as Country Fresh Meats “CFM” at 25th and Arkansas in Wichita in April 1982. In 1999 CFM changed its name to Excel Food Distribution (EFD). When Cargill changed Excel’s name in 2004, we became Cargill Food Distribution “CFD”.

CFD is an entrepreneurial perishable protein distributor, focused on delivering distinctive value by creating customer solutions to strategic markets. CFD’s core business is merchandising Cargill Meat Solutions beef, pork and turkey products for use in foodservice, retail, and manufacturing processes. CFD has distribution centers across the United States.
